I was doing some research for my paper topic (it deals with the connection between body image and roles of women) and I came across some very interesting articles. One article from an adoption organization explains how races have different body expectations (I guess to help with interracial adoption).

another article I read from “femminist.com”:  http://www.feminist.com/resources/ourbodies/body.html

seemed to tell a different story. In comparison to the adoption article, this one probably had more influence from first-hand experiences of women of multiple races, and it reaches a completely different conclusion. Women of all races who are overweight or obese experience hostility and pressure to lose weight.

Which article seems more credible/which standpoint do you personally believe?
